Development for Women’s Programme Centre

The Women’s Organisation, Development for Women’s Programme Centre (DWPC) was established on 13th April 1995 with the help of educated youths, dedicated men and women from the area in pattern of other organisations/institutions in the state and works for the welfare poor women and widow. The Organisation was registered on 3rd Feb 1998 under Manipur Societies Registration Act 1 of 1990 and bearing the registration no. 140 of 1997-98.

Aim's and Objectives -

• To arrange for rending service for welfare of the members and non-members of the society special for women, youth and children
• To arrange for opening regular classes for imparting adult literacy and non –formal education to adult women and male adult children to eradicate illiteracy among them
• To establish and promote information centre, study centre, library documentation centre, reading centre for the use of the Member, Staffs of the Society and Rural& Urban peoples
• To take up income generating programmes for rural & urban slum Youths, Women & Girls positively
• To take up Schemes and object for constitution  and maintenance of  rural link roads, pavements draining , sanitary latrine , rural houses repairing or construction of rural link roads, ring bund ,  road safety programme , bridges dam , culvert etc. for safety shelter and higher standard of living  through essay transportation and communication for the development of the society
• To undertake the schemes of assistance to disabled and handicapped persons for purchase fitment of AIDS/Appliances, consumer, vocational training special school and shelter workshop for disabled persons, Half Way Home, Care Centre etc
